Zip to the airport (via free shuttle), Port Everglades, Downtown and the deliciously decadent beaches of Ft. Lauderdale from this "elegant" high-rise "convenient to all major highways" as well as to nearby shops and restaurants; rooms are outfitted with "high-quality" furnishings, including "always comfortable" beds, the staff is "professional" and the pool "expansive" (with "plentiful" lounge chairs), but spoilsports take swipes at the "typical generic" decor and the seemingly constant ongoing "renovations."

I was very disappointed.
The rooms were tired, and the carpet was filthy. I was too tired to ask for a different room.
The room was run down and dirty. I was too tired to ask to changed rooms. I just went to bed and left early.

Wonderful experience. Picked up at the airport promptly. Allowed us to check in early. Easy shuttle to the cruise port the next day, would stay again.

No other shopping or dining near by.
